The chatbot was immediately blasted to more than 419,000 registered Yunitok users on SMS, WhatsApp, and Telegram, marking a major step forward in strengthening youth engagement in the national voter registration exercise.
Designed to simplify and demystify the voter registration process, the chatbot enables users to effortlessly locate their nearest voter registration centres. Through a guided flow, young people can select their county and constituency and instantly receive accurate IEBC-approved centre lists—ensuring reliability, speed, and ease of use.
Strong National Uptake in the First Week
The impact was immediate. Within just six days of launch, the chatbot recorded:
- 112,784 total interactions
- 43,141 full completions
